Behind the Scenes: Trailer Support for Musicians Corner at Centennial Park

How a couple of trailers, a willing crew, and a 5am start time helped a free community concert series come together.

Musicians Corner at Centennial Park is one of those things that makes Nashville Nashville. Free shows, all summer, every weekend, kids running around, food trucks, picnic blankets. None of it happens without a small army of people moving stage gear, tents, tables, and barricades at unholy hours of the morning.

For two weekends last fall, that small army included us.

What we hauled

  • Stage risers and backdrop panels from the storage facility to the park
  • Roughly 30 folding tables and 200 chairs for the food vendor area
  • Sound and lighting cases that the production crew didn't want bouncing around in an open pickup
  • A surprising amount of bottled water

The enclosed trailer is what made it work. Most of this gear can't get rained on, and Nashville in September can turn from sunny to thunderstorm in about twenty minutes.

The 5am part

Park access is locked down once the public starts arriving, so all the heavy moving has to happen before sunrise. We were on the road by 4:30am both Saturdays. Coffee was non-negotiable.

Why it's worth it

Standing at the back of the field that afternoon watching a few thousand people enjoy a free show. That's worth a lot of early mornings. If you're producing a community event in the Nashville area and need trailer support, reach out. We love this kind of work.

Got a project in mind? Let's talk.

Whether it's a single-load haul or a full-day cleanup, we'd love to hear what you're working on.
